What do you mean by video...it's there. This is an outlet to allow students to learn. Give them a break. For most of them, this is their first time either in front or behind a camera. They put a lot of effort into it even though sometimes their work doesn't always demonstrate their talents.
i know what this is. i contributed more to this site than almost anyone. i wish i would have gotten more criticism when i was in school. it's how you learn!!!!
and by video, i mean actual video of stuff like some shots of the lyric or the lantern or some sports action or at least some pics of people you were talking about.
it's just talking heads. you're supposed to be having fun. don't act like you're just reading a prompter word for word. like i said, if you look like you're not into, then the viewer sure as hell isn't going to be into it either.
i sucked when i first started and i know you guys are new at this, so don't look at this as me bashing you. these are things you should work on as the semester progresses.
repetition is good as well. the more you do this, the more natural it will feel. keep it up.
Not surprised: did you watch the show from a few weeks ago? there was alot of video, from what i've heard there was a technical issue as to why there was no video on this show. and if you've done this before you could find a better way to point out what needs improvement rather than doing it in public and tearing at them and discrediting the site. If you worked for the site before, wouldn't you want to make them look better not worse? How about e-mailing someone instead of this?
I think it's an amazing effort and i know you all put a lot of work into it. Great job guys!

also, show some emotion. if you don't act like you care what you're reading, why should we, the viewer, care?!
