You’ve got a very important date. With a roasted pig, hedgehog croquet and prizes, you won’t want to be late.
On April 8 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., D2 will host its "Alice in Wonderland"-themed customer appreciation dinner.
The event will consist of the finest traditional Victorian cuisine, Alice-themed games, and potential prizes for attendees, said Dietrick manager Kelvin Bergsten.
On the menu are items such as carved, poached salmon, roasted lamb, pan roasted root vegetables and wild mushroom bread pudding, said Bergsten. A Virginia Tech raised and processed roasted pig will also be served in dining services’ continued efforts to buy from more local sources.
Also planned for the event are Alice in Wonderland themed games. In one game, players will use a flamingo to put a small hedgehog in a match of croquet, said Bergsten. Another game, the teacup toss, will require the player to toss a beanbag into a teacup. Sodas will be given out as prizes for the games, and there will also be a random drawing for an iPod.
“I love the idea,” said freshman and D2 regular Josh Gregory. “The movie was great, and I can’t wait to play the croquet game. The lamb sounds pretty good too.”
The "Alice in Wonderland" dinner coincides with the recent release of Tim Burton’s film, “Alice in Wonderland.” The movie is based on Lewis Carroll’s two novels, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass,” according to the Internet Movie Database. The film has grossed almost $300 million since its March 5 release, according to Box Office Mojo.
The dinner is one of two customer appreciation events held every year by dining services at Dietrick, said Bergsten. The appreciation dinner is a way to give back to the customers and generate interest.
The atmosphere will be very relaxed for this non-formal event, said Bergsten.
The dinner will cost $13.60 cash or $4.35 on a Virginia Tech flex meal plan.

If you are willing to buy real estate, you would have to receive the home loans. Furthermore, my sister commonly utilizes a small business loan, which supposes to be the most rapid.
