If you're a writer or reporter and want your stories to be published, Planet Blacksburg is a place you'll want to consider.

As a freelancer:

It's recommended you try to attend our weekly meetings to hear what stories are pitched. If you want to cover something else that you find interesting, feel free to ask about it. Communicate with our editors and submit your articles in a timely fashion.

What do you get in return for contributing as a freelancer?

• We will promote your content through various outlets such Twitter and Facebook.
• You have a platform to show your work to friends, family and employers
