Take Notice: Sensations Spring Concert Coming Soon
By Katie Wright

The Graduate Life Center will resonate with sound when Sensations holds their third annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 22.

Sensations is a student-run a cappella group consisting of all female Virginia Tech students.  From “Breakaway” to “Sweet Child of Mine” and everything in between, including beat boxing, the concerts feature sounds of all different genres.

In an interview with Planet Blacksburg, Elizabeth Otero, a member of Sensations revealed that the group will release three new arrangements of songs that the public has never heard.

The concert will be held at 5:00 p.m.  Tickets for the concert will not be available ahead of time.  There will be a $5 charge collected at the door, which will go towards recording and sound equipment.  Parking is available in any of the lots surrounding the Graduate Life Center.

Sensations was created in the fall of 2003.  It now consists of 17 members, all of whom went through an audition process in front of the existing members.  “It's hard to believe that this is the last concert with our seniors, who have been here since the group was formed,” said Sarah Long, the music director of the group, “I can't imagine Sensations without them.
